Charlie Johnston graduated from U of M with bachelor of fine arts, 1984. Aka ‘C5′ is a painter, sculptor, and world class muralist who has been creating public art for 25 years, conceiving and executing large scale murals and sculptures in concrete, mixed media and bronze. He explores motifs that are both site-specific and concept focused, with a technical, realist utilization of art materials to support his specific approach to making art. He creates poetic experiences for the growth of individual and collective consciousness, remixing archetypes and genres to create new perspectives on the human experience. Charlie is creative in portraits, design work, architectural imagery, and is also an art consultant, art instructor, and teaches art marketing workshops.
Claire Desjardins is a member of the Canadian Society of Jury day at 210-63 Albert St artists and abstract painter who comes from a long line of artists, Montreal, Canada. She is a graphic designer ensconced in a life of technology and marketing. She teaches painting workshops in Canada and US, artist residencies at Vermont Studio Center, and Da Wang Culture Highland in southeastern China, and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Most recently she was selected as one of six artists to collaborate with Microsoft Canada, to design skins for their computers. Her designs are expected to sell nationally. Her artwork is reproduced on merchandise, such as bags, rugs, bedding, accessories and apparel under the Claire Desjardins signature label. Her work has also appeared in major motion pictures as well as popular television shows.
